Our 7-Step Process

Every step is documented, auditable, and designed to protect your data and the environment.

STEP 01

Contact Us

Request a quote or schedule a pickup online, by phone, or by email. We respond within one business day and provide a no-obligation assessment.

  • Free quotes for all services
  • Same-day response for urgent requests
  • Custom ITAD programs for enterprise clients
STEP 02

Pickup or Drop-Off

We collect your equipment with our own trucks and staff — no third-party contractors. Every pickup is documented with a signed chain of custody form.

  • Free business pickup in Greater Houston
  • GPS-tracked fleet vehicles
  • Signed custody transfer at your location
STEP 03

Secure Intake & Inventory

Equipment is received at our secure Sugar Land facility. Every item is inventoried with serial number scanning and categorized by type and data sensitivity.

  • Serial-level asset tracking
  • Barcode/QR scanning on intake
  • Data-bearing devices immediately secured
STEP 04

Data Destruction

All data-bearing devices undergo NIST SP 800-88 Rev. 1 compliant sanitization. We offer software wiping (Clear/Purge) and physical destruction (shredding, crushing) based on your security requirements.

  • NIST 800-88 Rev. 1 methods
  • DoD-grade sanitization available
  • Verification testing on every drive
STEP 05

Testing & Grading

Functional equipment is thoroughly tested, graded, and prepared for refurbishment or resale. This maximizes value recovery and extends the useful life of electronics.

  • Multi-point hardware diagnostics
  • Cosmetic grading (A/B/C)
  • Value recovery reporting
STEP 06

Responsible Recycling

Non-reusable materials are sorted and sent to certified downstream partners for commodity recycling. We only work with R2/e-Stewards/ISO 14001 certified processors.

  • Zero-landfill commitment
  • No export to developing nations
  • Certified downstream partners only
STEP 07

Documentation & Reporting

You receive a Certificate of Destruction with serial-level detail, plus recycling reports for your compliance records. All documents are available in your client portal.

  • Certificate of Destruction per job
  • Serial-level destruction records
  • Environmental impact reports

What You Receive

Complete documentation for your compliance and audit requirements.

Certificate of Destruction

Detailed certificate listing every asset destroyed, methods used, and date of destruction. Includes unique verification ID.

Asset Inventory Report

Complete inventory with make, model, serial number, and disposition status for every item received.

Environmental Report

Recycling summary showing weight diverted from landfill and downstream disposition of materials.

What is Chain of Custody?

Chain of custody is the documented, unbroken trail of accountability that tracks your equipment from the moment we take possession until final disposition.

This documentation is critical for regulatory compliance (HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, FERPA) and demonstrates due diligence in protecting sensitive data throughout the disposal process.
