Electronics Recycling Savings Calculator
See how much your business can save by switching to EverTrade for electronics recycling. Most businesses save hundreds on disposal costs alone.
How the calculation works
This tool compares typical per-item disposal and data-destruction benchmarks against EverTrade's free pickup program for qualifying business lots. You enter counts for common equipment types — desktops, laptops, monitors, servers, printers, and networking gear — and the tool produces a planning-stage estimate you can use in budgeting conversations.
Benchmarks are sourced from published ITAD industry ranges for disposal, pickup logistics, and certified data destruction. Real numbers always depend on the quantity, equipment mix, your location within the service area, and whether drives are wiped in-facility or shredded on-site. Treat the output as a starting point, not a quote.
What the tool assumes
- Business lot pickup in the Greater Houston metro (residential drop-off is always free and is not modeled here).
- NIST 800-88-aligned wiping for data-bearing devices by default; physical shredding when requested.
- Standard working-hours logistics. Off-hours, weekend, or after-hours pickups have different economics and are quoted separately.
- No special handling for hazardous waste streams (CRTs, batteries outside standard ranges, medical devices with radioactive sources, etc.), which are quoted case-by-case.
When this calculator is useful
Use the calculator when you're planning an IT refresh, a data-center decommissioning, an office cleanout, or a school/district lab rotation. It's especially useful for healthcare practices preparing HIPAA-aligned refreshes, law firms disposing of retired workstations, and small-to-mid financial firms with regulated data retention cycles.
What it doesn't do
The tool doesn't replace a formal quote, doesn't model asset remarketing or value recovery on eligible equipment, and doesn't account for specialized compliance documentation (BAAs, chain-of-custody logs for audited industries). For any of those, the fastest path is a 15-minute call or a quote request.
Frequently asked questions

The calculator compares typical per-item disposal and handling benchmarks against EverTrade's free pickup program for qualifying business lots. You enter counts for common equipment types and the tool produces a high-level estimate for budgeting conversations.
What assumptions does it use?
Industry-standard per-item handling ranges for disposal, pickup, and NIST 800-88 data destruction. Your actual numbers depend on quantity, location, and whether drives are wiped in-facility or shredded on-site. The tool is for planning only — EverTrade provides a firm, itemized quote before any work begins.
Who qualifies for free business pickup?
Qualifying business lots across the Greater Houston metro. Criteria include lot size, equipment mix, and service area. Smaller lots or residential drop-offs are welcome at the Sugar Land facility during business hours — no appointment needed.
Do you provide certificates of destruction?
Yes. Every business engagement with data-bearing devices includes NIST 800-88-aligned wiping or physical shredding and a certificate of destruction listing the asset tag, serial number, and destruction method. Certificates are archived and accessible through the customer portal. See Data Destruction for details.

Healthcare practices planning HIPAA-aligned refreshes, law firms disposing of retired workstations, schools rotating lab computers, and small-to-mid financial firms with regulated data retention cycles.
