Holiday lights of all types are accepted year-round, free to drop off. That includes mini lights, C7 and C9 bulbs, icicle lights, and net lights, whether they are LED or incandescent.
You do not need to sort the lights, test every strand, or wait for a holiday season. A tangled box is fine. Extension cords that are tangled in with the lights can stay in the box.
Light bulbs that are not part of a light strand are a different item. Loose household bulbs are not accepted.
